  • Hey dudes and dudettes My Names Matthew I'm a guitarist and bassist and songwriter. i have been playing guitar for 9 years and bass for about 2 i have had experience in a recording studio and with a band and 3 duo's. My resent duo broke up which is sad cos he was my best mate but the show must go on!. I'm looking to form a band that has fast punk songs as well as slow acoustic songs a mix between both i do not believe all the songs in a album should sound the same and i often spend my time on guitar just have fun and messing around but the time has come for me to find awsum musicians and get out there i have written about 10 to 12 songs which i have complete confidence in i write bout things that effect me others and the world not bout how sexy girls are or how much money or shiz i own :p. I'm looking to kinda have a sound like Simon and Garfunkel mixed with blink 182 but in a manner that comes out on top. my songs range from complete tempo changes to ballads to in your face acoustic songs and much more but I'm not a dictator and believe in a band being completely equal (I've been in 2 that are not n it sucks) but my main thing that i will stick to is duel vocals cos theirs something epic bout two singers singing together if you would like to know more then by all means send me a message

    My dream for a band that I'm in is to gig at least once every 2 to 3 weeks gain fans and rock the Australian music scene as best as we can don't really care bout going to the US but if it comes our way in time then sure why not. i also always wanna stay true to who i am as a person and not be made into something I'm not (and to play a few songs on 12 string cos i love 12 strings with a passion)

    Simon and Garfunkel, led zeppelin, Nirvana, tenacious D, Van halen, blink 182, Niel young, Jimmy Hendrix, deep blue something, Ozzy Osbourne, Devo, Gorillaz, Sex pistols, REM, Dave Clark 5, Greenday mostly music from 1950 to 1990's those are just a list of bands or groups or people i listen to but most of my music is a few songs from lots of different people :)

    I own a lenay 80 watt fuck off amp, Chourse pedal, two distortion pedals, muilti effects bass pedal, wah wah pedal, echo pedal, A Ibanez electric guitar (don't know model) a Martinez 6 string acoustic and Martinez 12 string acoustic electric and Yamaha 1884 strat (which I'm rebuilding) Wash burn banjo plus i have 3 other instruments at my disposal including a Cort Bass a Cort electric guitar with whammy and a Awsum nylon guitar My next guitar will be a double neck guitar with 6 n 12 strings (cos i love 12 strings)
