  • KiB (Kibrom Hailemariam) is an Afro-Aussie artist who, at a young age, befriended a pen and paper with the idea of using music to express his emotions while telling a story. KiB has been writing since 2000, but only recorded his first song in 2006 with the support of 80 Five Entertainment. He found himself in music, and since that first recording session, has continually grown into the recording and performing artist which he is today. When it comes to hip hop, KiB is influenced by artists who are in severe shortage - those who keep it real. Not one to get lost in the materialistic and unrealistic stereotype of modern day rap music, his influences are derived from artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common, to name a few. He is currently working on his first studio album "From A Weak Foundation" with 80 Five Entertainment, which is an introduction into KiB's character-building and life-changing experiences, beginning with where it all started - the relocation from his motherland to his homeland.
