  • About John Huxham

  • Having spent a number of years successfully playing with bands, and as a solo artist, the desire to create music, has lead to a change in direction and focus. This renewed focus on diversity across a variety of genres, instrumental versatility, arrangement and songwriting has seen his songs reach the finals of both the “UK Songwriting Contest” and the “Song Of The Year Songwriting Contest” as well as attain semi-final berths, honorable mentions, commendations, and short-listings, in other contests such as the “Billboard World Song Contest”, “Westcoast Songwriting Competition” and “Australian Songwriting Contest”. Instrumental versatility and experience across a number of genres is reflected in the richness and diversity of lyrics and instrumentation for this artist. Combining musical experience with life experiences has lead to the development of lyrics that connect with audiences on a number of levels and in a variety of situations. With his penchant for writing about life experiences his lyrics are fittingly supported by his passion for blues and rock. The melodic ballads of blues and the power of rock fuse to support the highs and lows of emotion and situations that run through his lyrics.
