Interview with EARPROJECTOR, 02.02.10

  1. How did your band meet?

I'm a solo producer who uses other musicians to add beauty to my sound. If I see someone playing who I like I always get their number just in case I want to use them later.

  2. Where did the idea for your band's name come from?

Roman Stolz who designed my cover art (who also did the cover art for 80's German pop group Nena, I'm very proud of that) coined the name after I told him I make soundtracks for movies that don't exist.

  3. What music has inspired your band?

Anything beautiful, honest and original. I'm very inspired by musicians who have the courage to break the rules and do things which the greater part of the music establishment think is 'wrong'.

  4. Use three words to sum up your band?

    avant, pop, dirt

  5. What venue would you most like to play at?

    The Opera House

  6. If you had a choice, who would be your support band?

I don't know. I would like to support my friend's band 'Red Bee' 'cause they're the best live heavy band in the country and I wouldn't like to follow them.

  7. Three people dead or alive you would invite to your gig, and why?

My grandfather 'cause he died before I was born and I want him to see what I do, my first girlfriend 'cause I want her to know I'm not a f*** up anymore and Brian Epstein so he can make me as famous as The Beatles.

  8. What are you listening to at the moment?

Duran Duran- Duran Duran, Motorhead- Overkill, Miles Davis- On the Corner and The Beatles- Revolver, White album.

  9. Where will your band be in five years from now?

Either loved or hated in every home in the world.

  10. Any tips you would like to share with your fellow muso's?

Who am I to tell anyone how to live or play their music?

  11. Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?

I used to but thankfully grew out of that pathetic cliche.
