Interview with Danny Noonan, 03.09.09

  1. What music has inspired you?

So much! Windham hill through Mr Bungle with groove & musicianship.

  2. Use three words to sum yourself up?

    Creative colaberative openminded.

  3. What music are you listening to at the moment?

Cell Dweller, Bela Fleck & Butter Fingers.

  4. If you had a choice to play one song, what would it be, and why?

Perhaps Sir Juke by Stevy Wonder if any because it's so fun when I teach it to my students and it's all about some of the all time greats although I mostly play originals when not teaching lately.

  5. Where will you be in five years from now?

Hopefully playing some wicked grooves with great musicians and wondering how my beautiful little 6 and 10 year old daughters became 12 and 15 year old monsters.

  6. What venue would you most like to play at?

The basement again. That and the metro are a blast to play at!

  7. If you had a choice, who would be your support band?

Find me a bunch of good musicians with a lack of inflated egos and I'm happy as.

  8. Have you ever played in a band before, and if so who?

Lots but none cracked it big. Blue wrass, Zuppa freek, Red fish Blue fish, The day after, VampIt, Shaky Ground, and lots more I can't or don't want to remember. :-)

  9. Three people you would invite to your gig and why?

My girls because I love it when they get down to my music, My dad because he's always been there and always been involved even when he hated some of the bands I was in, and a ticket at the door for any one who likes music and a good vibe.

  10. Any tips you would like to share with your fellow musos?

Do music because you love it and make it or not, you'll get joy out of it and just because some one is crap, don't tell them because they'll here it enough with out you saying it. Apreciate there love of music if not there lack of tallent.

  11. Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?

Nope and I can't remember if I did. I think I might have but it's all a bit fuzzy.
