How did your band meet?
We met at school. Nic and I started doing music together then will and matt joined us later. We weren't really friendly until we formed the group though.
-
Where did the idea for your band's name come from?
It's the name of an expensive womans clothing boutique in singapore, we chose it for a name because we thought it stood out and doesnt suggest an association with any genre.
-
What music has inspired your band?
Just about all music. We all dig records by Blur, Pink Floyd, Wu-tang clan, Sonic youth, Offspring, the Zombies, Radiohead, Nick Drake anything and everything really.
-
Use three words to sum up your band?
Rock on dude!
-
What venue would you most like to play at?
None in particular, somewhere nice in London perhaps.
-
If you had a choice, who would be your support band?
Grace Jones.
-
Three people dead or alive you would invite to your gig, and why?
Carl Hesburg because I think he'd dig what we're doing, Danny Sugarman for the party he'd bring, and Lord Scotland just because I think he'd be really confused with his surroundings.
-
What are you listening to at the moment?
I'm digging new records by Manchester Orchestra, Bus Driver and Bill Callahan and old records by the Doors, Gram Parsons and John Martyn.
-
Where will your band be in five years from now?
Not sure, either rich and well known or broken up! It's all or nothing with us dude!
-
Any tips you would like to share with your fellow muso's?
Yep, focus on songwriting more than anything else, if you have great songs you're unstoppable, everything else will just fall into place. That and when you're onstage go mental!
-
Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?
Yeah man, but only on the weekends, during the week we hole up and live like retirees. Peace out.
