What music has inspired you?
Safe to say a lot. Music from bands like: Fleetwood mac, Panic! At the disco, novel american, sick puppies, paramore, a day to remember, queen, fall out boy, powderfinger, tonight alive, city&colour, silverchair, blessthefall, the used, blink-182, the offspring, thirsty merc, muse and the getaway plan.
-
Use three words to sum yourself up?
Means-well, articulate (I have my very off days), passionate.
-
What music are you listening to at the moment?
I love this local band called Sweet Apes, love them - their covers and originals. Brendon Urie from P!ATD not only has heart-melting vocals but amazing musicianship, the variety and versatility of their music astounds me. Paramore, just because I genuinely love their music.
-
If you had a choice to play one song, what would it be, and why?
Careful - Paramore, that song just inspires everything inside of me. Plus the drum rhythm is absolutely insane!
-
Where will you be in five years from now?
Hopefully happy.
-
What venue would you most like to play at?
Metro theatre, I love how small and personal it is - but I haven't been to a hell of a lot of venues but so far I've really liked that one.
-
If you had a choice, who would be your support band?
Sweet apes, they are awesome.
-
Have you ever played in a band before, and if so who?
I've started to try and form a band with a guitarist, just looking for the rest....
-
Three people you would invite to your gig and why?
Jenna McDougall, Hayley Williams & my music teacher. Why? Jenna McDougall is a lovely human being and her band has a lot of experience with being the outsiders (musically) as they started off playing with a lot of metal bands. Hayley Williams... Because she brought me to music. My music teacher, because she would love to and i'd love to have her there.
-
Any tips you would like to share with your fellow musos?
Never restrain your musical abilities to genres, a wide range and open mind produces the purest of music.
-
Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?
I don't drink, smoke or do drugs - nor do I engage in sexual acts of any kind. I work in fast food with customers who are either lovely or furious for no apparent reason, so I have patience and a certain amount of tolerance. So i'm obviously livin' the rockstar dream ;)
