Interview with Timothy Nelson & The Infidels, 04.05.11

  1. How did your band meet?

Peter, Brad and I went to high school together and used to jam a lot, Peter and I had a different band together when we were sixteen. We met Luke and Ellen through all our various bands playing shows together.

  2. Where did the idea for your band's name come from?

    A Bob Dylan album.

  3. What music has inspired your band?

Mostly '60s/70's folk rock, you could call it. Mainly bands like The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Beach Boys, Big Star... modern bands like Wilco and The Shins too.

  4. Use three words to sum up your band?

    Five people playing

  5. What venue would you most like to play at?

    Belvoir Amphitheatre

  6. If you had a choice, who would be your support band?

Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) solo, but we'd only be able to follow by default simply because we'd be the only 'full band' out of the two. But even then I'd wonder how we'd do....

  7. Three people dead or alive you would invite to your gig, and why?

I'd have Liam Gallagher alive, because he'd be a laugh to have around I imagine. I would have Justin Bieber dead, and we could maybe use him as a piņata. and Lemmy because he's general half way between dead & alive, and he's fucking awesome.

  8. What are you listening to at the moment?

Radio, I'm at work and it's a hassle changing CD's given the system's upstairs. Someone's being interviewed... I don't know who they are. They have an American accent though.

  9. Where will your band be in five years from now?

Who knows! Hopefully on tour somewhere, or in a studio.

  10. Any tips you would like to share with your fellow muso's?

    Nope. I' too competitive :)

  11. Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?

Well I play in a band, I tend to drink alcohol when I can, but there's not many groupies in the Willetton area these days so I don't think I'm quite there yet.
