Interview with Infinite_Robot, 15.06.10

1. What music has inspired you?

   All sorts of shit. I dont like naming influences and such, its a bit wanky but yeah I like most bands with good bassists, drummers and cool keyboard sounds generally in the "pop" music realm...

2. Use three words to sum yourself up?

   what was that?

3. What music are you listening to at the moment?

   various stuff by Japan, a bit of Van Halen, FNM, lots of random myspace bands, Godflesh and David Bowie.

4. If you had a choice to play one song, what would it be, and why?

   It would be a song that never ends. The song would start out really great and everyone would love it then it would slowly change and make people leave the room and throw bottles, then it would pick up again and become really amazing and spectacular and people would come back to listen to it and be floored and flabbergasted by its beauty and originality then just as everybody is having multiple ear orgasms and rolling on the floor in uncontrollable fits of pure pleasure, it would suddenly stop. dead silence. then kick you in the ass and make you its slave for all of eternity.

5. Where will you be in five years from now?

   selling albums, touring the world with my hot euro girlfriend (all image no substace, you know the type) out of pocket, on the skids, bustin' my ass, making ends meet, kickin' shit. hey theyre all good things. could be worse you know? I could be working a shitty job all week with a stupid bunch of assholes. would rather be poor and making music.

6. What venue would you most like to play at?

   Forum Theater (laughs) ! I have my reasons!!!

7. If you had a choice, who would be your support band?

   well...since I AM the bassist umm I guess...Stewart Copeland would be good on drums. umm shit. maybe...Liz Fraser or Bjork on vocals haha! gee...ok and yeah the guy from INXS on keyboards i think his name is Andrew.

8. Have you ever played in a band before, and if so who?

   heaps. nobody famous but yeah a few cute-kooky-girl with guitar type acts, some improv bands (I cant get into improv) uhh rock cover bands, snot nose local high school cover bands. all sorts of shit. I keep as busy as I can and do alot of different things get out there and play who gives a fuck. be pro-active like the margarine butter spread stuff thats good for your heart!

9. Three people you would invite to your gig and why?

   I'd just pick 3 random people off the street and theyd be from all walks of life haha! like maybe: a cop, a poet and a nun yeah that would work great.

10. Any tips you would like to share with your fellow musos?

    try to make music from different angles, challenge yourself, think visually and creativity beats uber-technicality. always.

11. Do you live the Rock n Roll lifestyle?

    yeah. I really do. I drink like a....drunk! and I'm always screwing groupies and snorting lines of coke with naked models before, during and after every gig. I get in fights all the time too. I dyed my hair bleach blonde and now i wear leather boots instead of sneakers. I can love you better that way baby.
