  • About The Duvtons

  • The Duvtons are a band and everything else they tell you is a filthy lie. Tech Punk? Punk Rock? Punk Floyd? The choice is yours. After 5 or so years of gigging around, The Duvtons finally got their shit together and started recording songs. Some of these made up the first release aptly titled, 'Greatest Hits' which was released via small independent label Major Label Records in 2009. The album garnished some positive reviews and landed the band some big shows in their home city of Melbourne. 2010 saw the band in court cases and picking up some valuable international support slots with CKY (USA) and Guttermouth (USA) further increasing their profile and ending up in a personal invite to tour the US in 2011. The band hit the studio with some notable producers to record a bunch of songs which they are currently releasing digitally at a rate of one track per month via itunes and other assorted online stores. Matt Voigt recorded the new songs at Sing Sing in Melbourne and they were mastered by sound guru Tom Baker (Beastie Boys, Bad Religion, Parkway Drive, Nine Inch Nails, Gwen Stefani, Michael Jackson, BB King and many more) in Los Angeles, CA. The court case involving lead singer, Marvel Galer, is still reaching resolution but was interesting in the least. The lead singers face was severely rearranged without any encouragement or valid reason, resulting in several days within hospital and post traumatic therapy. 2011 will see the band embark on further international supports, plenty of regional touring, more releases and a possible tour to the US.
