  • About teacup illusion

  • Teacup illusion is a three piece band that have been playing together for about a year. Band founders Sean MacKay (guitar,vocalist) and Bevan Tippet (bass guitar). The boys humble beginnings started with jamming and writing songs together in Sean’s bedroom. After searching tirelessly for a drummer they finally landed local boy Nick Osborne, the son of Mal “Ozzy” from ACDC tribute band ‘hells bells’. It took a while before the boys could meet and jam together, but when they did it all fell into place and Teacup illusion was born. All the guys needed now was a committed vocalist. They had auditioned a few singers but it just didn’t feel right. Out of time, the boys suggested that the only solution would be that one of them would have to step up and take on the vocals. Sean has been singing for about 2 months and will be singing and Harvest Lakes Community Fun Day for Flood Relief, and the 2011 Emrge ramped battle of the bands. www.myspace.com/teacupillusion
