  • Alt / Rock Band from the top end of Australia (Darwin NT)... mix Skunk Anansie with Faith No More then add a touch of Fugazi , Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots to get your answer to what style and sound you can expect to hear from these 4 lads from the north. 2009 marks the 12th year as a prominent live music act in the Darwin music scene , having locked in a huge amount of support slots for the cream of the OZ rock crop roymackonkey have gained the experience needed to step out of their comfort zone and take on a new direction by playing to new audiences south of the NT border..... Hence the move to Melbourne!! after the recent March shows in Adelaide and Melbourne the boys have decided to move to concentrate on breaking into and working with other live acts in and around the vibrant healthy music scene of Melbourne. 1997 - roymackonkey formed 1998 - "The Quality of Meat" e.p. recorded 2000 - "Zero Tolerance" compilation cd (Bicuspid) 2002 - "Down Pour" live e.p. 2004 - "Global Warning" compilation cd (Great Divide) 2008 - "Cassandra Never Lies" e.p. recorded
