About Just Friends
“JUST FRIENDS” was formed in May 1994 by Di & Ivor Warhurst and is one of the most dynamic and fun-loving duos to hit the stage. Di Warhurst, the lead singer and guitarist comes from a family of entertainers and was an accomplished singing artist by her teenage years. Her band “Country Trax” worked most major clubs in the northern rivers area of NSW. Since moving to Qld Di has done guest spots for John McSweeney and sang with many local artists. The male/female vocal blend pleases everyone that hears them. Just Friends duo has guitar and keyboard with professional backing that covers all moods from simple backing to full band sound. Just Friends specialty is 50’s & 60’s Rock “N” Roll and Country Rock and invites audiences to join in and sing-a-long or dance to the large repertoire of Rock & Roll, Country, Country Rock and Easy listening music from the 50’s through to the 80’s with a touch of 90’s and even a bit of old time dancing thrown in also. With around a 1000 songs in our repertoire we have enough material to do full on shows in any music genre. Mainly a covers band Just Friends have written many songs that have become very popular with their audiences. Just Friends have a very professional approach to every show with particular attention to stage and personal appearance. “JUST FRIENDS” now have several albums released and are available at shows in CD format.
