Band InfluencesThere have been many influences on Epsilon over the years combining to make a unique sound. Bands such as Bloc Party, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mars Volta, Jimmy Eat World, Antiskeptic, Underoath, Funeral for a Friend, Thursday have had some impact on us. We don't sound like only one of these, rather we have taken aspects of many bands that we like and have combined them to create the sound that we like. With funk and rock influences, strong, melodic guitar and bass riffs are backed up by relatively intense rock/funk drums. Our style is very unique, lead mainly by the guitar but reinforced by incredibly tight percussion. Different backgrounds and personal interests have influenced each different musician, such as classical or self-taught beginnings, funk, punk and straight rock influences and interests ranging from heavy metal to punk to plain acoustic.

Dream/VisionIn a world where artists don't write their own songs, where songs are getting shorter and shorter to fit more songs (and ads) on the radio, where everything is becoming techno we strive to create real songs with real instruments where the only things that affects our songwriting are our feelings at the time and what we are trying to communicate - which could (and has) resulted in songs as short as a couple of minutes or as long as 11. With this in mind our dream/vision is to sway at least some people away from the brainwashing of mainstream and towards - hopefully - talented musicians; and to influence them to be experimental in their song selections, opting for skill over popularity.
