  • Coldstone Hit #2 "National Peoples Choice Awards" press release musicoz awards jan 2009 In December 2008 Coldstone hit #2 on the "Musicoz People's Choice Charts". Coldstone held the #1 spot in front of Juke Kartel on the last day of voting with 15mins to go.SMS votes were tallied nationally around Australia. Coldstone finished up one spot behind rock band Juke Kartel,lead singer Toby Rand of American reality television show "Rock Star Supernova." Featuring prominent piano rifts and anthem Pop/Rock melodies, Coldstone were formed in 2001 by singer/songwriter Craig Green and multi instrumentalist Jamie Dalton on the Gold Coast Australia. Craig Green: "I would say that as a kid growing up I was heavily influenced by the 80's & 90's era. Influences by Savage Garden, INXS, U2, Phil Collins, Police, Foreigner, Reo speedwagon, 1927, John Farnham, Richard Marx, Rick Price ." Craig green: "When creating a new song its all about touching ,moving and inspiring others. If I'm not getting any goose bumps when Im writing a song, then others aren't going to connect and get it either. Fulfillment comes when you know you have connected with others on a deep and personal level. Our songs may have simple melodies but our songs are about real life." Jamie Dalton: "This is about affecting people in a positive way. This is about trying to make a difference in people's lives and hearts the way so many bands and songs did for us."
